The shell-throwing Mario Kart Tour game originally released for Nintendo game console is now officially available on iOS and Android devices.

The freemium game has been redesigned for mobile and touch devices but still features the same iconic characters and colourful race tracks from the Nintendo game console. It’s currently rated 4.6 stars on Google Play and and 4.8 on App Store.

There are seven computer-controlled opponents in a series of colourful race tracks where users can boost, drift and speed their way to victory using the intuitive touch controls. However, the multi-player mode will only be added via a future update.

Players can choose which drivers, karts and gliders to use in races. Other features such as the extra-fast 200cc mode, in-game rewards from racing, and exclusive bonus goals can be accesed by purchasing the Gold Pass subscription for $4.99 per month. There’s a two weeks of free trial which will automatically renew if not cancelled within the period.

The game requires a Nintendo Account, compatible devices and internet connection to play. A free gachapon roll for your first driver character will be given once signed in.
