A new MacBook Pro is now available as Apple introduces the most powerful MacBook ever with a glorious 16-inch Retina display.
It features up to an 8-core processor, next-generation graphics, up to 64GB of memory and 8TB of SSD storage. Its 100-Wh lithium-polymer battery is the larget ever in a MacBook Pro and will provide up to 11 hours of wireless web browsing and video playback.
Apple has also added a more advanced thermal design to ensure that its Intel Core i9 processor can sustain optimal performance for a longer time. The new Magic Keyboard, now with a dedicated Esc key, uses scissor mechanism instead of the controversial butterfly setup in other models.
When it comes to sounds, the MacBook Pro 16-inch features a six-speaker sound system with dual force-cancelling woofers and studio-quality three-mic array for recording purposes.
As with the other MacBook Pro, it also comes with the Apple T2 Security Chip with Secure Enclave for Touch ID.
On paper, the specs are impressive. However, it is quite weird that Apple chose not to support Wi-Fi 6 when the feature has already been added to iPhone 11. Furthermore, the front camera still uses a meager 720p sensor.
