I have always been an Apple fan. I love their products that exude sophistication and topnotch quality. I don’t queue up at their stores [ I guess it’s only because there is none here in Kuala Lumpur yet 🙂 ] but would check out their every product on the first day it becomes available here. I watch their special events just so I can have that first glimpse of what they have to offer next.
I beamed with surprise when the iPhone 11 was shown on stage during their By Innovation Only event. It’s a huge upgrade from iPhone XR with a price that’s a tad cheaper. I said it will be my next phone. It has dual camera, nice selection of colours and a price that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg [at least not as expensive as its siblings]. But, I was dead wrong because just this morning, I went to Machines at Nu Sentral and purchased an iPhone 11 Pro Max in Midnight Green.
Is the iPhone 11 Pro Max a good phone? YES. That’s with conviction considering the fact that I am upgrading from an iPhone XS Max which was last year’s best iPhone. Not much has changed on the front as Apple focused on improving what’s under the hood to give users an iPhone that’s powerful enough to be called Pro. Its Super Retina XDR display looks stunning and the back side has a smooth glass cover that’s tougher than the previous ones. I like its stainless steel and glass design more than my iPhone XS Max. The square bump at the back now houses a triple-camera system which is getting a lot of great reviews for its capabilities.
After taking a few shots and comparing the results with those taken from iPhone XS Max, I am absolutely in love with it! The Night Mode automatically activates when the phone detects insufficient lighting. You can change the exposure from 1 to 3 by tapping on it.

You can see in the photos below that iPhone 11 Pro Max captures photos with more details and clarity.

All photos were taken with the default settings. No edit or whatsoever so you can also see how huge an improvement its camera performance is compared to the iPhone XS Max’s. You can find the HEIC versions here: iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone XS Max.
